Changing the Shipping Method on an Order

The Shipping Method can only be changed if the order is "Not Fulfilled"; you cannot change the Shipping Method for cancelled, shipped, or returned order lines. Changing the Shipping Method may result in a recalculation of shipping charges. Therefore, you should click Update Pricing on the order entry screen to view changes in shipping charges and order balance. Make sure to only select a Shipping Method that has been defined for your organization unit and GL account for the country of the selected ship-to customer.

The steps below assume that you are not currently viewing the order in which you want to change the shipping method. If you are currently viewing the order in which you want to change the shipping method, skip to step 3.

To change the shipping method on an order:

  1. From the Orders Central page, search for the appropriate order. For more information, please see Searching for an Existing Order.
  2. From the order summary page, click the pencil icon in the top, right corner.
  3. From the Order Details section, from the Work with Order Line Items drop-down, select Change Shipping Options.
    The Shipping Options page displays, as shown below.
  4. From the Line Item(s) section, expand each row to view additional details about each line in the order, such as the ship-to constituent, ship-to address, and shipping method, as shown below.

    From this screen, you can also change the ship-to address on one or more lines in the order. For more information, please see Shipping to Multiple Addresses.
  5. From the Shipping Options section, select the appropriate Shipping Method.
  6. From the Line Item(s) section, check the checkbox next to the line(s) you want to change and click Apply to Selected Line Items.
  7. Click Save.
  8. To return to the order entry screen, click Return to Order Entry. DO NOT click the Back button in your browser.

Changing the shipping method may result in a recalculation of shipping charges. Therefore, you should click Update Pricing on the order entry to view changes in shipping charges and order balance.
