Adding a New Committee Member Paige Freeman March 12, 2026 13:51 Updated From the Committee Summary or Find a Member page, you can add a new member to a committee.To add a new committee member: From the Committee Summary or Find a Member page, select +New Committee Member, as shown below.The Add a Member page displays, as shown below. Select the magnifying glass icon within the Constituent field to search for the constituent you want to add to the committee.The Choose a Constituent screen displays, as shown below.The following fields are available when searching for a constituent: Name (SEARCH_NAME in CUSTOMER) Constituent Class (CUSTOMER_CLASS_CODE in CUSTOMER) Email (PRIMARY_EMAIL_ADDRESS in CUSTOMER) Constituent ID (MASTER_CUSTOMER_ID in CUSTOMER) Phone (SEARCH_PHONE_ADDRESS in CUS_COMMUNICATION) Record Type (RECORD_TYPE in CUSTOMER) Search for and select the constituent from the gridThe search results will only return active constituents. Select the committee member Position from the drop-down.Values in the drop-down are populated based on the codes defined for the non-fixed COM "POSITION" system type. If necessary, click the magnifying glass icon within the Representing field to search for who the customer will represent. Select the Voting Status from the drop-down.Values in the drop-down are populated based on the codes defined for the non-fixed COM "VOTING_STATUS" system type. Select the Participation Status from the drop-down.Values in the drop-down are populated based on the codes defined for the non-fixed COM "PARTICIPATION_STATUS" system type. This status is not tied to the Begin and End Dates. If the End Date is less than or equal to today, you must manually change the Participation Status to Inactive. By default, the Begin Date is set to today. If necessary, select a different date. If necessary, select the End Date from the drop-down. If necessary, enter any Comments. Review the Committee Member Contact Information. If any changes need to be made, they must be made from the Constituent Profile within the CRM module. Click Save.
