Enter a unique Organization and Organization Name. Select the following from the drop-down menus: Fiscal Year End Packing Slip Method Default Currency Default Country Default Credit Terms Tax Calculation Level In the GL Structure Setup section, select the following: Fixed GL Account Length Select YES if you wish to specify the length of a GL account. The Account Length field will activate. If you select NO, the account length field will deactivate. Validate GL Segment Account Length If you selected YES in the Fixed GL Account Length field, enter the required length for a GL account. Account Separator Select Save.Alternatively, select Save and Add GL Structure. Screen Element Description Organization Text box. Free-form text field to reflect your organization code. Organization Name Text box. Free-form text field to reflect your organization's name. Fiscal Year End Drop-down.. The month of the fiscal year. For example, select June from the drop-down if your fiscal year ends in June.. This information is used for reports that need to calculate amounts based on fiscal years, such as the Revenue Recognition report which determines deferred revenue for the current fiscal year and future fiscal years. Packing Slip Method Drop-down. The method by which a packing slip is created. Choose Batch or Warehouse. Default Currency Drop-down. The type of currency used as a default for the organization. Default Country Drop-down. The country in which the organization is located. The default is United States. Default Credit Terms Drop-down. The default terms of the credit. This is used to populate the due date of any order. For example, 30 days or 10 days. Tax Calculation Level Drop-down. If your organization assesses tax, this field defines at which level this calculation should occur. GL Structure Setup Fixed GL Account Length Toggle. Select YES if the GL account length entered is a fixed length. Validate GL Segment Toggle. Select YES if the user must define all segments of the GL account number prior to using them for defining the GL accounts. GL segments will only be validated if they have been defined. Account Length Text box. The system enforces all GL accounts to be this length. This value is only needed if the Fixed GL Account Length toggle is set to YES. Account Separator Text box. Enter the character that is used as a segment separator.
