Notification Activity and Contact Tracking Settings Paige Freeman August 12, 2024 20:08 Updated You have the option of setting up your notification event so that an activity record and/or contact tracking record is created when your notification email is sent using Notification Designer. This setting and defaults for the activity and/or contact tracking record that is created are managed on the Activity and Contact Tracking Settings page. To set notification event Activity and Contact Tracking defaults: From the Application Settings page, select Default Activity and Contact Tracking Settings from the Notification Settings section. The Activity and Contact Tracking Settings page displays, as shown below. This page consists of two tabs: Global and Event Specific. Defaults selected on the Global tab will apply to all notification email events that are set to create an activity or contact tracking record. You can use the Event Specific tab to turn activity and/or contact tracking record creation on, as well as set the defaults for each individual notification event. Defaults set on the Event Specific tab will override any settings selected on the Global tab. If a default is blank on the Event Specific tab, it will use the value selected on the Global tab, if any. For an activity and/or contact tracking record to be created for a notification email event, the Create Activity Record and/or the Create Contact Tracking Record toggle must be set to YES on the Event Specific Settings for that notification event. To access Event Specific Settings: From the Activity & Contact Tracking Settings page, select the Event Specific tab.The Event Specific Notification Events page displays, as shown below. Search for and locate the notification event you wish to create an activity or contact tracking record for within the grid. You can use the search filters at the top of the grid if necessary. Select the edit pencil next to the corresponding notification event for which you wish to create an activity or contact tracking record. The Event Specific Settings page for the notification event displays, as shown below. Set the Create Activity Record and/or the Create Contact Tracking Record toggle(s) to YES.For an activity and/or contact tracking record to be created for a notification email event, the Create Activity Record and/or the Create Contact Tracking Record toggle must be set to YES on the Event Specific Settings for that notification event. Select the defaults as necessary. Settings that have already been set on the Global tab will display below the corresponding field(s) for informational purposes. Any settings selected on the Event Specific Settings will override the Global setting selections. Select Save to save your changes and return to the Event Specific Notification Event listing page. Screen Element Description Activity Settings Activity Code Drop-down. The type of activity related to the customer. Values are populated based on the non-fixed CUS "ACTIVITY" system type. Activity Subcode Drop-down. Based on the Activity Code, it further describes the type of activity related to the customer. Values are populated based on the subcodes defined for the non-fixed CUS "ACTIVITY" system type. Contact Tracking Settings Call Type Drop-down. The type of contact you sent or received. For example, Phone Inbound or Email Outbound. Values are populated based on the non-fixed MRM "CALL_TYPE" system type. Call Topic Drop-down. The topic of the contact record. To set the Topic field values, enter the appropriate codes for the type. Values are populated based on the non-fixed MRM "CALL_TOPIC" system type. Call Subject Drop-down. The subject of the contact record. Values are populated based on the subcodes defined for the non-fixed MRM "CALL_TOPIC" system type. Staff Assigned Drop-down. The staff member who is assigned this contact record. This list includes all users within the Org/Org Unit. Mark as Resolved Drop-down. If Yes is selected, enters the contact tracking record as resolved with the Resolved Date defaulted to the date the notification email is sent.
