Creating a Blank View in Web Designer Paige Freeman July 11, 2023 15:20 Updated For more information on views, please see Web Designer Views Overview. If the ribbon header at the top of the page says Constituents Module (CRM360), you can continue with the Create a Blank View workflow. If the Constituents Module label does not appear in the ribbon header, navigate to the Modules tab and select the CRM360 module before continuing. From the Views tab, select +Create View. The Create a New View page displays, as shown below. On the Create a New View page, perform the following: Enter the new view Name. In this example, we will create a dual page, so we will use “MyCusPages”. The ID field will auto-populate with the value entered in the Name field. From the Select From a Template drop-down, select Blank Template. Select the Create button at the bottom of the page to create your view. Your new view will open for edit, as shown below. You can expand or minimize the New Element Toolbox menu using the arrow in the upper right corner of the left menu. Select the word Title on the page, then select the pencil icon that appears above it. The New Element Toolbox menu menu opens to the Properties tab. Change the value of the Text field to “My CustomerInfo Pages”. The text will auto-populate to the field on the page. Hover over the box below your title containing two empty columns, then select the Layout button that appears above it. From the Layout menu that displays, select the one-column option. The box now contains one empty column. Generate another one column row by clicking the stacked pages icon to the right of the pencil icon. A second element row displays below the first empty element row, as shown below. From the left New Element Toolbox, navigate to the Views tab. In the search box, search for your newly created “MyCusActivities” and “MyCusBiographies” pages. You will find MyCusActivities under the “Shared” section and the MyCusBiographies views under the “Views” section. In the Web Designer, new and pre-existing Simple views will occasionally be mentioned as Shared views. Drag and drop “MyCusBiographiesContainer” and “MyCusActivities” into the empty rows on your page. The third button on the pencil icon toolstrip is the row consolidation button and selecting it and deselecting it will either visually group or ungroup populated rows with the same column layout. Select the Save button at the top right to save your changes. To revisit this page later, navigate to the Views tab and select Constituents Module from the Show Views From drop-down, then search for MyCusPages.
