Managing Member Subscriptions Paige Freeman May 17, 2023 13:23 Updated Member Subscription products are free with the membership, regardless of price, and are automatically included with the order, if previously defined on the Subscription Benefits page of the product setup. Membership Subscriptions can also be manually added to an order via the Member Subscriptions option, as described below. Click the hyperlinked Subscription name to view the Member Subscription details screen, as shown below. To add a member subscription benefit: From the Order Summary screen, select Member Subscriptions from the contextual menu within the grid.The Member Subscriptions screen is displayed, as shown below. Click +New Member Subscription.The Add New Member Subscription screen displays. Search for and select a subscription Product to add to the order. The Quantity of the subscription product to be added to the order defaults to "1". Change this if necessary. If different from the default, select the Rate Structure Override from the drop-down. This overrides the rate structure defined for the product. Certain customers, such as members vs. nonmembers, receive special rates, and the rate structure specifies this. If different from the default, select the Rate Code Override from the drop-down. This overrides the rate code defined for the product. The rate code determines the pricing for the rate structure. If necessary, select the Ship-Via method from the drop-down. If necessary, enter any Comments. If necessary, change the Subscriber to a different customer to receive the subscription benefit. If necessary, select a different subscriber address to which the subscription should be sent from the Use Address drop-down. Click Save. Transferring a Member Subscription to Print/Digital If a customer would like to transfer the subscription benefit during their membership to either a digital or print version of the same publication, the Transfer option will accomplish this task. To transfer a member subscription: From the Member Subscriptions screen, select the contextual menu next to the appropriate subscription in the grid. Select Transfer to Digital or Transfer to Print. The Subscription product, Type, and Transfer Date are updated in the grid. Viewing Issues Fulfilled This screen calls and displays a list of subscription issues served against a publication. Fulfilling a subscription issue is accomplished when the TRS Issue Fulfillment (SUB670) batch processing job is run and the database is updated. The process fulfills both production issues and issues for the given publication. To view issues fulfilled: From the Member Subscriptions screen, select the contextual menu next to the appropriate subscription in the grid. Select Issues Fulfilled.The Issues Fulfilled screen displays, as shown below. Select the appropriate checkboxes of the issues you want to replace and click Replace.An order is created for a replacement issue. Opting Out of a Member Subscription If a customer would like to stop receiving the subscription benefit during their membership, the Opt Out option will stop the member subscription and will cause the subscription benefit to NOT be renewed. To opt out of a member subscription: From the Member Subscriptions screen, select the contextual menu next to the appropriate subscription in the grid. Select Opt Out. The Opted Out field in the grid is updated to be checked. If the subscription benefit was opted out by mistake or the customer wants to opt back in, select Opt In.
