Submitting a Batch Job Paige Freeman April 14, 2023 18:21 Updated The Job Submission screen allows you to select the appropriate job parameters and submit a batch job. Each batch job uses different parameters since the outputs of the reports and processes present different data depending on the distinct parameters defined. You can change the values of the parameters without altering the actual parameters themselves. To run a Batch Job: From the Batch Processing and Reporting screen, select Submit Job from the contextual menu in the grid next to the corresponding job you wish to run.The Job Submission screen displays. On the Job Submission screen, select the appropriate setup code in the User Setup drop-down.User setups are defined on the Job Parameter Maintenance screen. For more information, please see Creating a New User Setup. From the Job Details section, perform the following: Enter any Job Comments. If necessary, select the Job Queue from the drop–down. Enter the Job Priority. If necessary, select the Start Date and Time from the date chooser..This job will be scheduled using the parameters defined on the Job Submission screen. It does not use the parameters defined for the Setup Code on the Job Parameters Maintenance screen. This is only necessary to schedule a report if there is no existing job schedule. If you specify a value for the Start Job On field and there is an existing schedule, the report will be processed twice. Select the Printer from the drop–down. From the Job Parameters section, select the appropriate value for each parameter, as necessary. The parameters change depending on the report selected. These parameters are defined on the Report and Job Maintenance screen. It is recommended that you review all parameters, even if they are not required. Hover your mouse over the label name for a particular parameter to display the associated help text for that field. The Advanced Job Parameters section allows you to further filter the batch job.
