Once you have created a opportunity plan, you then assign prospects to owners/solicitors in the Opportunity Management system. These assignments are then used later by the owner/solicitor to track all prospects assigned to them. To assign a prospect to an opportunity plan and owner: From Opportunity Central or the left navigation menu, select Opportunity Plan Assignments.The Opportunity Plan Assignments page displays, as shown below. Select +Assign Opportunity Plan.The Assign Opportunity page displays, as shown below. Search for and select the Prospect. Search for and select the Opportunity Plan. Select the Opportunity Stage.This defaults to the first stage in the selected opportunity plan. Select the Opportunity Status.This defaults to Pending. Select the Status Date.This defaults to today's date. Search for and select the Owner/Solicitor.You may search among Existing Solicitors or create an owner/solicitor from a constituent already in the system by searching All Constituents. Enter the Goal Amount.The total goal amount of donations, if applicable. Enter the Actual Amount of any donations, if applicable. Search for and select the Volunteer to optionally assign a volunteer. Search for and select the List Code.Identifies the mailing list from which the prospect was solicited. For more information on list codes, please see Marketing Lists Overview. Enter the Prospect Source.This is a brief field that allows you to note where the prospect was found. Select the Priority Rating.This is a score used by the fund development manager or owner/solicitor to label a prospect by importance. Values in the drop-down are populated based on the non-fixed codes defined for the FND PRIORITY_RATING system type. Select the Projected Plan Completion date, if necessary.This is the projected date that the plan will finish on. Select the Actual Plan Completion date, if necessary. Select the Fund, if necessary. Select Save to save your changes and assign the opportunity plan. The plan assignment detail will open upon save.
