Purging a Marketing List Paige Freeman May 06, 2024 16:26 Updated Purging a list allows you to delete prospects or customers from the marketing list, but it keeps the marketing list within the system. The following are the data base tables used for marketing and what happens when a marketing list is purged: MKT_LIST_MASTERThis table keeps the marketing list information. The purge operation updates the list deleted flag value to "Y". The purge list functionality cannot be used for list communications. MKT_LIST_DETAILThis table keeps the prospect or customer record information for a marketing list. The purge operation deletes the prospect or customer for the selected marketing list. Once you purge a list, you cannot regenerate the list; you must create a new list. To purge a list: From Marketing Central or the left navigation, select Manage Marketing List.The Manage Marketing List page displays, as shown below. Search for and locate the list you wish to purge. Select Purge List from the contextual menu in the grid. The Purge List option will only display for lists that are not already purged and are not empty. You must have update permission to the Marketing.Lists security application to see this option. After selecting the Purge List option, a confirmation window will display. Select Yes to purge the list.
