Managing Awards Reviewers Paige Freeman January 08, 2024 17:30 Updated You can manage a master pool of reviewers from the web client. From the Manage Reviewers page, you can appoint reviewers to a term. Reviewers can be assigned an approved-for code of “ALL”, which means the reviewer can be assigned to review awards or any type of abstract. The Manage Reviewers page can be accessed from the left navigation menu or from the Award Central page. Adding a Reviewer and Appointing a Review Term The Manage Reviewers page allows you to search for customers who have already been assigned to the master pool of reviewers. If you do not find the customer you're looking for in the set of customers that have been assigned as reviewers, you can search for an existing customer in the database to add as a reviewer. To add a reviewer and appoint a review term: From the Award Central page or left navigation menu, select Manage Reviewers. The Manage Reviewers page displays, as shown below. To add a new reviewer, select +New Reviewer.The Add Reviewer page displays, as shown below. Search for and select the Reviewer.Once a constituent has been selected, their information will populate in the Reviewer Information section fields. From the Add Reviewer Term section, perform the following: By default, the Begin Date is set to today. Change this if necessary. This is the begin date of the review stage. You can edit this date if a reviewer has NOT been assigned to a nominee. If necessary, select an End Date. This is the end date of the review stage. Reviews will continue after the nomination period has closed. You can edit this date at any time. By default, the Available toggle is set to YES. If a reviewer is temporarily not available for assignment to review activities, this toggle can be set to NO. If this toggle is set to NO, the reviewer will not display in the list of available reviewers on the Award Reviewers page. By default, the reviewer's Appointment Status is set to "Appointed". Change this if necessary. Values in the drop-down are populated based on the codes defined for the non-fixed ABS "REVIEWER_APPOINTMENT" system type. Select the area the reviewer is Approved for.Values in the drop-down are populated based on the codes defined for the non-fixed ABS "REVIEWER_APPROVED_FOR" system type. If staff will be managing sets of reviewers for different types of reviews, no default should be defined for App_Type.PRIMARY_CODE. However, if the organization does not need to restrict reviewers to certain types of reviews, the App_Type.PRIMARY_CODE can be set to ALL, which allows a reviewer to review any type of material. Select the Reviewer Role from the drop-down. Values in the drop-down are populated based on the codes defined for the non-fixed ABS "REVIEWER_ROLE" system type. If necessary, enter any Comments. Select Save.
