Reverting and Deleting Customizations in Web Designer Paige Freeman July 11, 2023 15:16 Updated For checked in customizations you have the option to revert changes to both Base and Custom Views by utilizing the list of customizations currently checked in. You can select one, multiple, or remove all in order to undo existing customizations. As with most standard source control methodologies you must undo the selected customizations and then check in the reversion/deletion changes afterwards. From the Source Control menu in the top ribbon, select List All Customizations. If you wish to revert a custom file, search for and locate the file in the customizations list, then select Delete from the corresponding contextual menu in the grid.A confirmation dialog will display. Selecting OK on the confirmation dialog will create a customization-removal change in the sandbox that will display on the Pending Changes page. Some Views are made up of multiple files, including Non-Simple Views which may have one set of filenames below for each type of View contained within(List, AddOrEdit, ReadOnly), if you are reverting a single view please be sure to check that you have deleted all of the following files: Path: Screens - [ViewName].xml [Optional] Path: Resource - [ViewName].xml [Non-Simple Views Only] Path: Repository – [ViewName]Repository.xml [Non-Simple Views Only] Path: ViewModelMapping – [ViewName]ViewModel.xml If you wish to revert all customizations, select the Remove All Customizations button at the top of the Current Customizations page.A confirmation dialog will display. Selecting OK on the confirmation dialog will create a customization-removal change in the sandbox that will display on the Pending Changes page. These changes will display in the Pending Changes list with a red strikethrough. Similar to normal file changes, you can undo these changes or check them in when you are ready. Although this process will delete any new custom files that have been created, reverts will not delete base files; the process will simply restore them to their base version.
