Manage Dropdown Values Paige Freeman May 15, 2023 18:52 Updated You must have access to the MANAGE_DROPDOWN_VALUES access point to manage drop-down values. The Manage Dropdown Values feature allows administrators to manage drop-down values directly from the page the field appears on. This allows users to quickly add new values to drop-downs or modify existing values by navigating the user directly to the Edit Dropdown Type page for the selected field. For more information on Dropdown Types and Codes, please see Dropdown Setup. To manage dropdown values: From the user menu at the top right of the page, set the Manage Dropdowns toggle to Yes. Navigate to the page with the field for which you wish to manage values.In this example, I will navigate to the Demographics page for a constituent. Select the edit pencil to enter the edit mode of the page. With the Manage Dropdowns toggle set to Yes, a gear icon will display next to the fields for which there are drop-down values. Select the gear icon next to the field for which you wish to manage values.In this example, I will select the gear icon for the Job Function field. The Edit Dropdown Type page for the selected field will open in a new browser tab. From the Edit Dropdown Type page, you can add new values or modify existing values in the Edit Dropdown Code section.For more information on Dropdown Types and Codes, please see Dropdown Setup. Once you have completed your desired change, return to your previous browser tab.In this example, I will return to the Demographics page for the constituent. The gear icon for the selected field will now display as a refresh arrow icon. Select the icon to refresh the drop-down field with your changes.
