Copy User Permissions

From the Security Settings screen, you can copy existing User Permissions and assign them to another User.

To copy User Permissions:

1. From the Settings section of the left navigation menu, select Security Settings. From the Security Settings page, select Copy User Permissions  from the Copy Security section.
   The Copy User Permissions page displays as shown below:
   
2. Locate the Source User whose permissions you want to copy in one of the following ways.
   1. Enter at least three letters of a User Name and click the search icon. Choose the user from the drop-down menu.
   2. Select Advanced. The Choose a Security User screen will display as shown below.
      
   3. Locate a security user in one of the following ways:
      1. Search by User ID or User Name..
      2. Browse for the security user using the pagination at the bottom.
   4. Click to highlight the security user. The Search button turns to Select.
   5. Click Select. The Copy User Permissions screen will display again with the selected user listed in the Source User field.
3. In the Copy Options section of the Copy User Permissions screen, select which permissions you want to copy using the YES or NO toggles for Security Groups and Personas.
   Please note that if the logged-in user is not a super user, the system will only copy org/org units, security groups, and personas that the logged-in user and source user have in common. Super users have the capability to copy all permissions.
4. In the Target Users section, enter at least three letters of the user you want to give the copied permissions in the User ID field and select Filter.
   Alternatively, you can browser the list of users below the filter field.
5. Select the checkbox beside the selected user.
6. Select Copy User Permissions at the bottom of the screen.

Screen Element	Description
Source User	Select the user who has the permissions you want to import to the target users. The source user is removed from the Target list of users so you can not select it.
Security Groups	Toggle. Select YES if you want the target users to copy the security groups of the source user.
Personas	Toggle. Select YES if you want the target users to copy the available desktop client personas of the source user.
