Copy Organization Unit Security

From the Security Settings screen, you can copy existing Organization Unit Security settings and assign them to another Organization Unit.

To copy Organization Unit Security:

  1. From the Settings section of the left navigation menu, select Security Settings. From the Security Settings page, select Copy Organization Unit Security  from the Copy Security section.
    The Copy Organization Unit Security page displays as shown below:
  2. In the Original Organization section, select the Organization and Organization Unit with the security settings you want to copy.
  3. In the Security Groups section, toggle to YES or NO next to Groups to select whether you wish to copy the Security Groups of the selected Organization and Organization Unit.
    1. If you select NO for the Groups toggle, move to the Desktop Client Personas section. 
    2. If you select YES for the Groups toggle, select YES or NO for Group Users, Application Permissions, and Access Points to indicate whether you wish to copy those security settings for the selected Organization Unit.
    3. Select the Merge bullet if you want to merge the security settings. Select Overwrite if you want to overwrite the settings for the selected Organization Unit.
  4. In the Desktop Client Personas section, toggle the Personas selection to YES if you wish to copy the Desktop Client Personas for the selected Organization Unit. 
    1. If you select YES for the Personas toggle, select YES or NO to indicate if you wish to copy the Persona Members and Persona Menu for the selected Organization Unit.
    2. Select the Merge bullet if you want to merge the security settings. Select Overwrite if you want to overwrite the settings for the selected Organization Unit.
  5. Once an Organization and Organization Unit are selected from the drop-down menus at the top of the screen, a list of available Organization and Organization Units displays in the Target Organization section.
    1. Select the checkbox next to the Organization and Organization Unit that is to be given the copied Organization Unit Security settings.
  6. Select Copy Organization Unit Security.
