Maintaining Facility Room Information Paige Freeman May 18, 2023 19:42 Updated Once you have created a new facility, various room information must be added and maintained, including room information, room configuration and capacity, and room cost. To add a new room: From the Facility Summary screen, select +New Room.The Add New Room screen displays. From the Basic Information section: Enter the room Name. This is the name of the room in the facility. Enter the room Description. This is a short description of the room. Select the Room Type from the drop-down. Values in the drop-down are populated based on the non-fixed codes defined for the MTG ROOM_TYPE system type. If necessary, set the Enforce Conflict Check toggle to Yes if you want the system to notify you of any scheduling conflicts that may arise when creating room reservations for this room. Enter the Setup Time. This is the usual amount of time required to set up the room for use in minutes. Enter the Breakdown Time. This is the usual amount of time required to break down or reconfigure the room to its original state in minutes. Enter any Comments, if necessary. From the Dimensions section: Enter the Length and Width of the room. The Square Area will automatically calculate using these two values and is read-only. Once you have entered the necessary information, click Save to save your changes and return to the Facility Summary screen, or click Save and Add Another Room to save the current room and add another. To manage room configurations and costs: From the Facility Summary screen, click the three vertical dots next to a room in the grid to open the contextual menu. From the menu, select Configurations & Costs.The Room Configurations screen displays. Click New Configuration to add a new configuration. The Add Configuration screen displays. From the Configuration section: Select the Configuration from the drop-down. Values in the drop-down are populated based on the non-fixed codes defined for the MTG ROOM_CONFIGURATION system type. Enter the Capacity. This is the amount of people or attendees this room configuration can seat. Enter any Comments if necessary. From the Room Cost section: Select the Currency from the drop-down. This defaults to US Currency. Enter the Daily Cost. This is the amount it will cost to rent the room on a daily basis, and defaults to $0.00. Click Save to save your information and return to the Room Configurations screen.
