Configure Braintree

You must have access to the Settings.ApplicationSettings security application to access this page.

To configure the parameters for the Braintree payment handler:

  1. From the Settings section of the left navigation menu, select Application Settings. From the Application Settings page, select Configure Braintree from the Payment Processing > Payment Handlers section.
    The Configure BRAINTREE page displays, as shown below.
  2. Select the edit pencil in the grid to edit the value of the corresponding parameter.
    Please see the table below for descriptions of the available parameters.
Parameter Name Default Value Description
ALLOW_CHANGES_TO_CREDIT_CARD_PROFILE BEFORE EXPIRATION Must be equal to one of the following three values: "ALWAYS", "NEVER", "BEFORE EXPIRATION".
ALLOW_EXPIRATION_DATE_CHANGE Y If the value for this parameter is "N", then Expiration Date of Credit Card cannot be changed.
CREDIT_CARD_PROFILE_VALID_PERIOD 1 Must be equal to either number of days a token is valid or "ALWAYS".
DECLINE_ERROR 91507, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015... List of comma-separated processor response codes that are declines.
ENABLE LOG Y Enter Y if logging is enabled at app server, else enter N.
ENABLE LOG TRS Y Enter Y if logging is enabled at TRS server, else enter N.
FOLLOW-ON CREDIT PERIOD 90 Follow-on Credits are performed by referencing the original Authorization information stored in Payment Handler database. Enter the number of days your Payment Handler stores the original sale information here.
LEVEL2 ENABLED Y/N Enter Y to support Level2 data capturing.
LOG FILE C:\Logs\Braintree\Log.txt Enter the name of the log file.
LOG FILE TRS C:\Logs\Braintree\Log.txt Enter the name of the log file in TRS.
PAYMENT HANDLER SERVER   Options: SANDBOX / PRODUCTION ; Enter PRODUCTION to get the authorization from the payment handlers production server and SANDBOX from the TEST Server.
PROXY LOGON   The proxy logon identification used to pass through the firewall.
PROXY PASSWORD   The proxy password for the proxy logon.
PROXY PORT   The proxy port number.
PROXY URL   The proxy URL.
REJECTED_AVS_RESULT_CODES N,I The AVS codes for which credit card transactions are rejected.
REJECTED_CVV_RESULT_CODES N,I The CVV codes for which credit cards transactions are rejected.
TRANSACTION TIMEOUT 60 The time, in seconds, when the transaction will time out. The default is 60; it is recommended that this value is NOT less than 60.
