Updating Prospect Tasks Paige Freeman April 22, 2025 13:19 Updated On a prospect's assigned opportunity plan, you can create and manage Tasks and Task Activities. To add and edit Tasks: From Opportunity Central or the left navigation menu, select Opportunity Plan Assignments.The Opportunity Plan Assignments page displays, as shown below. Search for the assignment you wish to view, then select the hyperlinked Opportunity Plan in the grid.Selecting the hyperlinked Prospect or Owner/Solicitor will open the customer profile. The plan assignment detail for the selected opportunity plan displays. Select the Tasks tab. The Tasks page displays, as shown below. To add a new task, select +New Task.The Add Task page displays, as shown below. Enter the Task Name. Select the Task Type from the drop-down.Values are populated based on the non-fixed FND "TASK_TYPE" system type. Select the Task Stage from the drop-down. Select the Task Status from the drop-down. If necessary, enter the Duration In Days. If necessary, select a Projected Completion Date to identify all tasks anticipated to be completed by the solicitor. Leave this field blank is there is no intended due date. If necessary, select the Actual Completion Date. If necessary, enter a Task Description. If necessary, from the Go to Tasks section, search for and select the task that the user should move to If Successful and/or If Unsuccessful. Select Save to save your task and return to the Tasks page. Task Activities Task Activities make up tasks. Task Activities refer to when an owner or solicitor “contacts” a prospect to complete a task. Task Activities created on the assigned plan display on the Owner Tasks page, which allows owners/solicitors to view current Task Activities and tasks they have for their prospects. To view and/or edit a task's Task Activity: From the Tasks page, select View Task Activities from the contextual menu in the grid. The Contact Tracking Maintenance page opens in a new tab, with the Constituent ID, Opportunity Plan, and Opportunity Task search filters filled in. Use the tabs above the grid to view All, Unresolved, Resolved, and Overdue activities associated with the selected task. Select the edit pencil in the grid to edit the task activity. Select Delete from the contextual menu in the grid to delete the task activity. To add a new Task Activity: From the Tasks page, select Add Task Activity from the contextual menu in the grid. The Add New Contact Tracking page opens in a new tab. Enter the information as necessary and Save.
