Viewing and Updating a Constituent's Web Segmentation Paige Freeman May 16, 2023 18:10 Updated From the Web Segmentation screen, you can view web segmentation information for the selected individual or company constituent. Segmentation on the web is referred to as "Group Management". The permissions you assign to a group manager determine what customer record management functions he/she can perform on the web using the Group Management controls. For example, whether he/she can purchase products for the group, update group member's contact information, update the group's information, assign another user to be a manager, add new members, email the group, and perform other customer record management functions. In addition, depending on whether you set up a company, committee, or subgroup (chapter) for web segmentation (group management) determines how the group manager can manage the group. If you set up a company for web segmentation, this is known as "Corporate and Staff Management". If you set up a committee for web segmentation, this is known as "Committee Management". If you set up a subgroup for web segmentation, this is know as "Chapter Management". To view the Web Segmentation screen for a constituent, select Segmentation from the Profile Info tab. The Weg Segmentation screen display, as shown below. From this screen, the following sections display: As a Segment Member Of Manager Of Organization-Unit Segmentation As a Segment For committee, company, or chapter constituents, the As a Segment section displays if the constituent has been setup a web segment, meaning that members or employees can be managed by a group manager on the web. To setup the constituent as a web segment: From the As a Segment section, click Web Segment.The Edit Constituent as a Segment screen displays, as shown below. Based on the constituent class, the Segment Rule is automatically populated and cannot be changed.For example, for company constituents, the Segment Rule will be set to "Employee Segment Rule". By default, the Qualifier 1 field is set to the constituent's master customer ID and cannot be changed. By default, the Qualifier 2 field is set to the constituent's sub customer ID and cannot be changed. If necessary, enter a Description. Click Save. To delete a web segmentation setup for a committee, company, or chapter constituent, from the As a Segment section, click the pencil icon, and then click Delete Segment. Member Of The Member Of section displays web segments of which the constituent is a member. Manager Of The Manager Of section displays web segments of which the constituent is a manager. To add a new managed segment: From the Manager Of section, click New Managed Segment.The Add Managed Segment screen displays, as shown below. By default, the Begin Date is set to today and can be changed if necessary. If necessary, select an End Date. Select the appropriate Segment Rule from the drop-down.Based on your selection, additional fields will display to the right. If you want to make the constituent an online manager, select the Make an Online Manager option. If you want to allow the constituent to edit profile information for individual records in which he/she manages, select the Edit Individual Profile option. If you want to allow the constituent to edit profile information for group records in which he/she manages, select the Edit Group Profile option. If you want to allow the constituent to add individuals to the group in which he/she manages, select the Add Individual to Group option. If you want to allow the constituent to remove individuals from the group in which he/she manages, select the Remove Individual from Group option. If you want to allow the constituent to identify another constituent as a group manager, select the Identify Group Manager option. If you want to allow the constituent to place an order for group members, select the Place Order option. Click Save. To remove the constituent as a group manager, from the Manager Of section, from the additional option menu next to the appropriate record, select Delete. Organization-Unit Segmentation The Organization-Unit Segmentation section displays org units in which the constituent can view records. If segmentation is in place, users can only see records visible to organization units in this list. If segmentation is not in place, users can see all constituents. To set up segmentation for the organization unit, the Segment Control checkbox must be checked on the Organizational Unit Maintenance (APP003) screen in ThreeSixty Operations. To add a new org-unit segment: From the Organization-Unit Segmentation section, click New Org-Unit Segment.The Add New Org-Unit Segmentation screen displays, as shown below. Select an Organization by entering at least three characters and clicking the magnifying glass search icon to display available options.Alternatively, click Advanced to display a search screen will open for you to search for and select the organization. Search for the appropriate organization using the search fields. Once you have located the correct organization in the results grid, select the row and click Select to populate that organization in the Organization field. Select an Organization Unit by entering at least three characters and clicking the magnifying glass search icon to display available options.Alternatively, click Advanced to display a search screen will open for you to search for and select the organization unit. Search for the appropriate organization unit using the search fields. Once you have located the correct organization unit in the results grid, select the row and click Select to populate that organization unit in the Organization Unit field. Click Save.
