Viewing and Updating a Constituent's Relationships Paige Freeman May 08, 2024 12:59 Updated From the Relationships tab, you can view a list of existing relationships defined for the constituent. You must belong to a security group with at least VIEW permission to the CRM360.CustomerRelationships application in order to view this screen. To view a constituent's relationships, select All Relationships from the Relationships tab. From this screen, you can create a new relationship, click the pencil icon to edit an existing relationship, and/or click the additional options menu to Delete or Make Primary an existing relationship. Creating a New Relationship To create constituent relationships: From the Relationships tab, click the New Relationship link in the top right corner of the screen.The Add New Relationship screen displays, as shown below: Select the Relationship Type from the drop-down. Select the constituent's Role in the relationship from the drop-down. By default, the Begin Date is set to today. If necessary, change this date. To search for an existing constituent as the related constituent, click the search icon in the Related Constituent field and search for the appropriate related constituent.Alternatively, begin entering at least three characters and click the Search link to display available options. Alternatively, you can relate a constituent not within the system (such as a CEO’s assistant who does not do business with the association) by manually entering the related constituent's name (Last, First) in the Related Constituent field. If you choose to manually enter a constituent and this is the current, primary employment or contact relationship, this employer or primary contact will NOT display in the header on the Constituent Summary page. Select the related constituent's Related As role from the drop-down. If necessary, select an End Date. If necessary, enter any Comments. Certain types of relationships will require additional information: For "Contact" relationships: Select whether or not the constituent is the Primary Contact. If necessary, select a Job Function from the drop-down. For "Employment" relationships: Select whether or not the constituent is the Primary Employer. Select whether or not the employment is Full Time. If necessary, select a Job Function from the drop-down. If necessary, enter the name of the Supervisor. Click Save.
